Preparing for Your Annual Accounts: Information Needed

To ensure we can efficiently complete your annual accounts, we require specific information from you. If your business is already connected to our online accounting platform, such as Xero, we may have most of the data already. However, we still need the following details for each of your businesses:

– Bank balance as of March 31
– Resident Withholding Tax Certificate
– Payroll records (unless we handle your payroll)
– Vehicle logbooks and mileage records
– Business loan balance as of March 31
– Stock value on March 31
– Dividends
– Accounts receivable and payable on March 31
– Any bad debts that were written off
– Details of any other income received throughout the year

Do You Work from Home?

If you operate your business from home, we also require information regarding:

– Rent or mortgage interest payments
– Insurance expenses
– Power costs
– Water bills

Reconciling Your Accounts

It’s beneficial if you can ensure your accounts are completely reconciled. If you encounter any difficulties with refunds, partial payments, or anomalies, please reach out to us, and we will assist you in resolving them.

The Importance of Providing Accurate Information

Having all the necessary information allows us to carefully review your accounts and ensure you’re not overpaying taxes. If we are unaware of your expenses, we won’t be able to offset them against your income, resulting in higher tax payments.

Conversely, if your business has faced challenges and you have overpaid provisional tax throughout the year, having all your information enables us to apply for a refund and adjust your provisional tax based on your expectations.

Benefitting from Completed Annual Accounts

Having your annual accounts finalised allows you to analyze your business’s performance, compare it to previous years, and make informed decisions for the upcoming year.

Accuracy Takes Time

It’s important to note that generating accurate annual accounts requires significant time, attention, and effort. We meticulously review your extensive paperwork to ensure precise accounts. We’re happy to provide you with updates on our progress, so feel free to inquire at any time.
