Get Excited!

It’s not every day December first comes around and for us it means kissing goodbye to the office and embracing summer holidays, sunshine and good times. It also means we’ve got a tight window to help a lot of you before you check out and into holiday mode.

December is going to be full noise here at Outside and first up we need your help, so we can then help you. The earlier the better this week; can you please schedule some one-on-one time with Xero as it needs some end of month love only you can give. As soon as you’ve got it reconciled up to date (no later than December 7 please), we’ll take over and do the ‘exciting’ accounting stuff. If you get stuck, or Xero is misbehaving, feel free to give us a call and we’re happy to help. We’ll be doing our best to have all GST and provisional tax info out to you by the 18th. For tonight though, go get outside! Wellington has put on an absolute stunner!

The inside tip on Xero this month goes out to all those who negotiate price as part of their business, such as tradies and goods and service providers who deal with customers on a more personal one-on-one basis. Let me introduce you to Xero Quotes. These can be found in the area of your screen just below where you currently create your sales invoice, and are a gem if you’re into agreed up-front pricing. They’re a lot more professional than a scrap of paper or email, and they create a ‘paper’ trail while offering various insights into your business. Not to mention they save time when it comes to invoicing. Christmas Shut Down

Just a heads up, like you, I hope, the team here are going to be taking some time out to soak up some sunshine and enjoy the silly season. We’re shutting the doors here on Wednesday the 23rd of December and opening up again on Monday the 11th of January 2016! Myself and Tom will be checking emails intermittently throughout and you can try your luck on our mobiles (Cam 027 366 2272 and Tom 027 370 2319) in the case of an accounting emergency.

We hope to catch up with you before Christmas, but if we don’t, we hope Santa treats you well and you bring in the new year with plenty of cheer!
