Looking ahead

Now that the busy tax time of year is out of the way, it’s a good time to take stock and consider what lies ahead, hell, the Queen is even giving you a day off to recover. Let’s take the day to do some planning for your business.  So, chin up Charlie let’s grab it by the unspeakables and push on with the bid to take over the world. Do you need help planning for the future, but don’t know where to start? Give us a bell– we’re eager to help.

The usual hustle – it’s time to bring your Xero up to speed so we can flesh out a few things and let you know where you’re at now that we’re two months into the year. Could you please have Xero reconciled to date by Wednesday the 5th of April? Love your work.

Business advisory

To mix it up, this one’s not from the Xero archives. Have you heard of Business.govt? If you haven’t, please read on… Business.govt is a government initiative spearheaded by a website that’s come a hell of a long way in the last couple of years. Essentially, it’s a help-you help-yourself guide to business.
Here’s a page we happened across that has snippets of a business journey you’ll all have affinities to and it’s got some great ideas – check it out business milestones

Business forecasts

The Government has just released their budget and commentary which has kick-started the usual political mud-slinging and debate. There is always a fair hype around a budget release, and rightly so; budgeting is an incredibly important tool for running a country. Understandably you’re not running a country, but running a business has its parallels and budgets are equally as important.
Budgets make us contemplate what’s ahead and create accountability once we’re underway – they are a key driver in perpetual success. If you don’t have a budget, but do have an idea about where you’d like to be in 6, 12 or 24 months come and have a chat about what you can do about it. Take control of the dream.
