We’re back and ready to smash 2021

Happy New Year! The team are back in the office as of today after doing the difficult swap from jandals and togs to closed-toed shoes and shirts. There’s a general feeling of being refreshed and renewed after having consumed enough food, fun, and Vitamin D to last the year. Check out our team Instagram and Facebook to see what the crew got up to over Christmas and the New Year – just prepare yourself for a wave of holiday jealousy.

As we roll ourselves into the New Year (quite literally), there’s a chunk of good energy bouncing around the office. The new year means new goals, new visions, and new doors to open – so, we’re eager to get moving and smash out the start of the calendar year and the end of the financial year.

Team Update

In usual 2020 fashion, the team had a bit of a shake-up towards the end of the year coming to terms with Cam’s Outside exit and his shift to becoming a temporary Aucklander. As would be expected the team are gutted to see Cam go, but we’re all excited to see him take on the city of sails and smash the new role he’s taken on helping with a nationwide business expansion for a client. Cam’s been a vital piece in the puzzle that has got Outside to where it is today. He’s been a leader in building client relationships, as well as building an epic team – doing it all with a grin on his face and runners on his feet. We’re all going to miss the infectious passion and energy that Cam brings to the office every day as well as his love for his clients and the commitment he has to improve NZ SME’s one step at a time. We’ll miss you Cam!

Chartered Accountants

As the old saying goes, one door closes, another door opens. We welcomed our latest recruit Susie in mid-November, and she’s slotted in like she’s been here for years. Susie is a qualified Chartered Accountant with bundles of knowledge and experience from working previously at Grant Thornton in a managerial role. We are pumped to have Susie (and her new Pomski puppy Rocket) on board and are excited for her future with the Outside team

You’re a bunch of good buggers

Before we dive into 2021, we just wanted to say a quick thanks for sticking by us last year. It was a pretty shaky year with many up and downs, but we’re stoked that despite what 2020 flung at us you still chose us as your accountants. We do what we do for you, and it’s great that you love what we do (did you get that?) So, cheers to you for being top-notch clients –we couldn’t do it without you. Now that we’ve got that out, let’s blow 2021 out of the water!
