Important Update: Xero Reports Upgrade Required by July 31, 2023, 6am NZST

We want to make sure you’re up-to-date with the latest improvements and features at Xero. As part of Xero’s ongoing commitment to enhancing your experience, they have been offering two versions of their reports – the older version and the ‘new’ reports. However, effective July 31, 2023, at 6am NZST, Xero will no longer provide technical support or maintenance for the older versions. They will be retired on this date.

What does this mean for you?

To continue enjoying seamless reporting, we strongly encourage you to upgrade to the ‘new’ reports if you haven’t already. Please note that all month-end reporting for July 2023 should be conducted using the ‘new’ reports.

Key changes taking place on July 31, 2023, at 6am NZST:

1. Read-only access: You will retain read-only access to old published and archived reports.
2. Inability to run old reports: After the retirement date, running old reports will no longer be possible.
3. Removal of saved drafts: Any saved drafts of old reports will be removed from Xero.
4. Inaccessibility of old report packs: You will not be able to create or edit old report packs in Xero HQ, nor run them in your clients’ organizations.
5. Client-level access to archived report packs: Published or archived report packs in clients’ organizations will remain as read-only at the client level.

Please note that some reports will not be retired on this date, and you can find the full list on the Xero Central link.

We understand the importance of a smooth transition, and our team is here to assist you throughout the process. For further information and support, please visit Xero Central or feel free to reach out to us directly. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Upgrade now and take advantage of our latest features to elevate your reporting experience with Xero.
