Introduction to Hubdoc
Kia ora from level one! The office is beaming at the thought of getting back to regular face to face client meetings. We’re back with an even stronger focus on client relationships – so if you haven’t had a chat with your Outside go-to recently, now’s your chance. Level 2/182 Vivian Street welcomes you with open arms! If Zoom has become your thing, no worries the team is still more than happy to continue with zero-contact chats.
We also have a mini team member who joined the Outside team at the start of the month… Congratulations Tom and Lou on the arrival of their new baby, Oliver! Although Oliver’s not yet visited the office, we have his desk all set-up ready for him to join us for an afternoon of accounts when he’s ready.
Let’s get down to business. As you may or may not have known, Xero are increasing the prices of their Premium and Standard plans by $2 per month and Starter plans by $2.50. The first time a price increase isn’t bad news – Business plan owners now have free access to Hubdoc – (which used to cost $27.50 on a subscription basis, so it’s basically a steal). Hubdoc is a quick and easy method of processing your bills and receipts. The system reads the document to reduce your data entry (and errors) and then publishes it into Xero as a bill. It’s your best friend for efficient bookkeeping!

Let us know if you’re keen to give it a go – we can help with the original set-up and linking to Xero. If anything, it will stop us nagging you for receipts that hit the bin months ago – which is always a positive.
