The Christmas tunes have well and truly started and the fat bearded man, (or woman, or otherwise, to cover all the P.C. bases), will soon be gracing us with his presence. Where has the year gone?? The CEO of Xero mentioned last week that each year goes by quicker as it’s a relatively smaller portion of your life, not a bad bit of rationalisation I reckon. Anyway, before we know it it’ll be 2019 and and we’ve got a bit of water to wash under the bridge before then!
Cue reconciliation push – Can you please have your Xero reconciled up to date by Friday the 7th of December? We’ve got bucket loads to get through before Christmas so your help would be fanflippingtasitc.
Xero Tip #428186
You’ll have noticed the big change in the top 10% of your Xero screen. The changes to the blue banner are designed by Xero to make it much more intuitive for you as the end user. “Business” houses all of your action stations and whoever is running Xero will likely use this tab a lot. Think of the “Accounting” tab as all your options for the ‘where am I at and how am I going?’ thoughts.
Xero has a wee blog post that summarises things a whole lot better than me and you can read all about it here https://www.xero.com/blog/2018/11/xeros-new-navigation-simple-beautiful-experience/
End of Year Shutdown
Not to scare you, but we only have two working Tuesdays left before Christmas and four weeks today we’ll be in 2019. Like a lot of Wellington, we’ll be shutting up shop to get outside and enjoy ourselves. The key dates for us are:
- Friday the 21st of December 2018 will be our last day on the tools. We’ll be heading down The Hop Garden in the arvo and we’d love it if you could join us for a yarn and a cold one
- Wednesday the 9th of January 2019 will be our first day back on deck going gangbusters
